Seltz products take up their place quite naturally- almost like they could only have been meant for here- in the many “glamorous” establishments designed in recent years, and fit into that new international style that places the emphasis on architecture and design, Seltz plays with the sculptural quality of elementary forms in a range of upholstered items that were clearly designed for an ever wider usership, and where the possibility of having ever changing, “metamorphic” furniture multiplies the way in which the space itself is used: bars, art cafés, moka bars, transit bars, wine bars, hotels, discothèques, boutiques, bookshops and art galleries are where Seltz products would ideally be found. The simplicity and consistency of the look created, coordinated and art directed by Emillo Nanni, the design affinities that link him to Sebastian Bergne and Fabio Bortolani, the shared aim of getting into an area as rich in potential as that of the places people “hang out” in – traditionally dominated by the use of typical stools and sofas – has led to a collection in progress open to new possibilities of use, with a fresh image’ elementary in the way if fits together, and run through with an ironic vein and a highly fashionable nod to cartoonism. Twelve modular seating collections that can be combined, taken apart or added onto when it use needs to be extended, such as during book presentations, exhibitions, debates and fashion shows. A creative interpretation of the various places where people come together, with a personality all of its own. |
